This past June was an exciting time for our university as the Golden Eagle baseball team made it's first ever trip to the College World Series in Omaha, NE. For the past eight years now, BSU has had the chance to be involved with the baseball program so when the team made it to Omaha it was a big deal to us.
Throughout the year the BSU hosts a Baseball Bible study on Mondays at lunch where many members of the team come and eat lunch while we do a devotion. For the past couple of years, former BSUer Ben Jernigan and myself (Kris) have led a devotion time for the players. Each week we have consistently 20-25 guys show up to meet. It's been a real honor to work with these guys.
During the season, Lloyd travels with the team on weekends and speaks at Sunday morning chapel. Even though Lloyd is not too eager to speak (like most of us are) he has willingly done so at the request of now retired Head Coach Corky Palmer. God has used the ministry of BSU to touch the lives of these guys and wow has it been a fun ride!
